Children’s Mental Health Week – #LetsConnect
#LetsConnect for Children’s Mental Health Week 2023.
This week is dedicated to spreading awareness about mental health among children and young people and addressing the common misconception that children are not affected by stress and anxiety.
Millions of children and young people are living with mental health problems. Children’s Mental Health Week aims to encourage more young people to talk openly about their well-being, make it easier for parents to have those conversations, and spot the warning signs of a child needing help.
#LetsConnect is the theme for this year’s mental health week which aims to highlight the power of connection. It’s so important for children to connect with friends and families as it allows them to open up about their emotions and develop relationships with people they trust. At PEEK we understand the importance of community and connecting with others. We promote this through all our programmes in creative projects, collaborated dance, team sports and generally coming together to have fun. Place2B has developed resources, assembly guides, activity ideas, and family resources to help you explore mental health and well-being with children and young people at home. Have a look, get creative, and enjoy the power of connection.
