1225 jackets, 700 wellies and 3175 gifts to children and families right before Christmas
2022 has been another year of challenge and change resulting in financial difficulty and emotional turmoil for children, young people and families due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. However, with your support, PEEK has been able to be there at every turn to do all we can to support our families and communities.
In partnership with Hub West Scotland and Speirs Gumley, PEEK’s 2022 Winter Warmer Appeal has resulted in great success providing 1225 jackets and 700 wellies for children and young people in Glasgow.
Through the generosity of the public, Glasgow’s Spirit of Christmas and Porsche Glasgow we have delivered 3175 gifts which include something warm, something to eat, something to play with and something to read.
300 individual families received support with food shopping vouchers, fuel top-ups and household items distributed directly to homes across Glasgow
200 families received a food hamper to cook Christmas dinner.
150 children received support via Clyde Cash for Kids.
18 children got their haircut by Caven Cuts Barbers.
300+ children and young people had lovely festive trips to Panto, Cinema and Ice skating at ElfinGrove and meals out thanks to Clyde Cash for Kids.
