Let's Play

Let’s Play is a diverse and stimulating programme of outdoor play activities that is delivered across 24 communities in the East and North of Glasgow for children aged 5-13years.

At PEEK, we believe that children are the experts in play. Our ‘Play Rangers’ act as a play champion for your child(ren) by encouraging them to try new things like tree-climbing, bug-hunting or tennis etc. The Play Rangers also help children use their imagination and creativity whilst they play contributing to their social, emotional and physical development.

Street Play 5 - 13yrs

Outdoor play sessions that take place in streets, parks and open spaces in all weathers. Children are encouraged by the Play Rangers to discover and explore their immediate environment through play.

Active Play 5 - 13YRS

Activities aimed at building their physical skills and confidence. This is delivered by the Active Play Ranger working alongside Play Rangers to provide opportunities for more active forms of play, specifically aimed at developing fundamental movement skills.

Taster Sessions 5 - 13YRS

Delivered as part of the Street Play sessions where children are introduced to specific sports through games and activities. These are delivered by the Active Play Ranger (alongside a sports coach) to introduce the children to sports equipment and games.

Physical Activity Specific Sessions 5 - 13YRS

Sports sessions are delivered (at a different time to play sessions) to provide an opportunity to develop skills and interest in sports. These sports sessions are delivered by the Active Play Ranger and a sports coach, but would continue to focus on providing children with an enjoyable and engaging opportunity to try out a sport.
